OBRA Assessor

SCHEDULE

This is an intermittent position (on call) that will be scheduled for anywhere between 0 and 20 hours per week - the hours are dependent on the current needs. This will be discussed further in an interview.

JOB SUMMARY

  • Provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments to persons seeking or residing in a nursing home for OBRA Mental Health Assessments.
  • Directly observe, interview, and evaluate referred individuals in community settings with recommendations to the Agency and/or nursing home staff for Mental Health treatment and programs designed to enhance an individual's lifestyle.
  • Completes timely comprehensive Psychosocial assessments and communications required while adhering to Agency policies, procedures, and OBRA requirements.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS

Education: Master's Degree is required with a major in Social Work, Counseling or Clinical/Counseling Psychology.

Job-Related Experience:
Sufficient experience to perform the position at a satisfactory level required. Experience with relevant population in a community mental health setting preferred.

Licenses and Certifications: Michigan state licensure. Valid driver's license while operating vehicle on agency business.
